Start with what life feels like now

How does your nervous system respond to standing, stress and rest?

We help people with dizziness or a racing heart by examining their symptoms together so that they can work toward standing and walking more confidently.

How we look at the whole picture
Illustrative portrait of a young woman seated near a window in a calm home setting.

Standing in a checkout line or taking a shower can leave you lightheaded, shaky or drained.

You want to do more, but you cannot always predict what your body will tolerate.

You do not need to know which treatment to ask for. Start with what has changed and what you want to be able to do again.

The 7 Domains of Recovery™

Your symptoms may belong in the same conversation.

The autonomic domain looks at responses such as heart rate and tolerance for being upright. We also consider energy, sleep, movement and the other domains that may be affecting your day.

Neuregen's proprietary 7 Domains of Recovery framework organizes that conversation around seven connected parts of your life and health. We consider all seven, then focus the evaluation on the questions your history raises.

Explore our clinical framework
  1. 1Brain function & neural networks

What has changed in your memory, concentration, balance or sensory tolerance?

  2. 2Autonomic & nervous system regulation

What happens when you stand, move, rest or encounter stress?

  3. 3Immune function & neuroinflammation

What immune history, reactions or symptoms need a closer look?

  4. 4Brain energy & metabolic health

What affects your energy through the day and after activity?

  5. 5Structure, stability & body-to-brain signals

How do pain, posture, movement and stability affect what you can do?

  6. 6Psychological flexibility & behavioral recovery

How are mood, stress and patterns of coping affecting your day?

  7. 7Life, relationships & environment

What demands, relationships and support shape your recovery?

A plan starts with the things you want to do again.

We ask when symptoms occur, what makes them worse, how long recovery takes, and what has already been checked. Relevant examination and testing help us decide where to begin.

  1. 01

Tell us what you want your life to look like

We start with what has changed, what you have tried, and the activities you most want to return to.

  2. 02

Answer the questions the history leaves open

We review prior reports and select relevant assessments. You should understand what each assessment is meant to clarify.

  3. 03

Agree on the priorities and the first steps

We discuss the findings, possible approaches, costs and practical constraints. The plan sets an order that fits your situation.

  4. 04

Check what changes and adjust together

We compare your response with the starting point, including daily function. If something is not helping, we discuss what needs to change.

Only then do we discuss which therapies, if any, belong in your plan. The choice depends on the findings, the evidence, your preferences and how you respond.

Domain 2 of 7

Autonomic & Nervous System Regulation

Restoring balance to the body's internal regulation systems

Anatomical illustration of the heart and major vessels supplying the brain.

What this domain covers

The key question: Is the nervous system able to shift between stress and rest?

Examines sympathetic and parasympathetic balance, stress response resilience, and interoception. High sympathetic dominance blocks cellular healing and restorative sleep.

Conditions this domain leads

Signs this domain may be involved

POTS, orthostatic intolerance, anxiety, panic, hypervigilance, poor sleep, adrenal dysregulation.

How Neuregen assesses and treats it

  • Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) to reboot sympathetic tone
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) biofeedback training
  • Vagus nerve stimulation and autonomic calibration
  • Restoration of deep, restorative sleep cycles

Watch the explainer

What recovery in this domain looks like

Healthy vagal tone, high Heart Rate Variability (HRV), stable orthostatic tolerance, and profound calm.

Treatments that may be used

Specific interventions depend on your assessment findings and are always directed by our clinical team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the autonomic nervous system, and why does Neuregen evaluate it?

The autonomic nervous system governs the balance between sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) activity. High sympathetic dominance blocks cellular healing and restorative sleep, which is why Neuregen examines this domain for every patient.

What is the Stellate Ganglion Block, and who might benefit?

The Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) temporarily anesthetizes sympathetic nerves in the neck to reboot the overactive fight-or-flight response. It is used for severe autonomic imbalances, including POTS, treatment-resistant PTSD, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety.

What conditions are associated with Domain 2?

Domain 2 leads for POTS and dysautonomia, PTSD and trauma-related dysregulation, and the autonomic form of Long COVID: the conditions where sympathetic-parasympathetic imbalance is the main driver, and where stellate ganglion block has a clear rationale. It also covers orthostatic intolerance, anxiety, panic, hypervigilance, poor sleep, and adrenal dysregulation.

What does recovery in this domain look like?

The goal is healthy vagal tone, high Heart Rate Variability (HRV), stable orthostatic tolerance, and deep, restorative sleep cycles.

Does a Strategy Consultation cover autonomic evaluation?

The Strategy Consultation with our clinical team is the first step toward understanding whether autonomic dysregulation is a factor. Neuregen is out-of-network, and the consultation helps clarify what a full evaluation would involve.

How does Domain 2 connect to the rest of the framework?

Autonomic tone affects every other domain. A nervous system stuck in sympathetic overdrive cannot support the immune balance (Domain 3), cellular energy (Domain 4), or structural repair (Domain 5) that recovery requires.
