Start with what life feels like now
What if emotional and physical symptoms need one plan?
Neuregen’s integrative psychiatry care is designed for people whose emotional health and physical symptoms affect one another. We bring psychiatric evaluation, medication management and psychotherapy together with relevant rehabilitation, so your care can support both mental health and everyday function.
How we look at the whole picture
You have tried to explain how difficult ordinary days have become, and you may have already tried more than one approach.
Sleep, concentration, energy and physical symptoms may be adding to what you are carrying.
You do not need to know which treatment to ask for. Start with what has changed and what you want to be able to do again.
Quick Answers
- What does integrative psychiatry mean at Neuregen?
- It means considering psychiatric symptoms alongside sleep, cognition, physical health and daily function. Evaluation may lead to medication management, psychotherapy, rehabilitation or coordination with your existing care team.
- Does integrative psychiatry always involve ketamine?
- No. Ketamine is one option considered for selected circumstances. Your diagnosis, prior treatment, medical history, risks and preferences guide the discussion; it is not required to receive psychiatric care.
- Can psychotherapy and medication be part of the same plan?
- Yes. Psychotherapy can be used on its own or alongside medication. The combination depends on your needs and preferences, with follow-up to review benefits, difficulties and any side effects.
- Can I continue seeing my existing mental-health clinician?
- Yes. Bring details of your current care and medicines to the evaluation. With your permission, the team can coordinate responsibilities and recommendations with your existing clinicians.
The 7 Domains of Recovery™
Emotional health and nervous-system recovery belong in the same conversation.
Mood, sleep, thinking, physical symptoms and daily stress can influence one another. Our 7 Domains of Recovery™ framework connects psychiatric care with the rest of your evaluation. It helps us decide which concerns need attention together, while preserving the role of your existing clinicians and treatments.
Neuregen's proprietary 7 Domains of Recovery framework organizes that conversation around seven connected parts of your life and health. We consider all seven, then focus the evaluation on the questions your history raises.
Explore our clinical framework- 1Brain function & neural networks
What has changed in your memory, concentration, balance or sensory tolerance?
- 2Autonomic & nervous system regulation
What happens when you stand, move, rest or encounter stress?
- 3Immune function & neuroinflammation
What immune history, reactions or symptoms need a closer look?
- 4Brain energy & metabolic health
What affects your energy through the day and after activity?
- 5Structure, stability & body-to-brain signals
How do pain, posture, movement and stability affect what you can do?
- 6Psychological flexibility & behavioral recovery
How are mood, stress and patterns of coping affecting your day?
- 7Life, relationships & environment
What demands, relationships and support shape your recovery?
Domains most involved:
- Psychological flexibility & behavioral recovery
- Autonomic & nervous system regulation
- Brain function & neural networks
These guide the evaluation; they do not mean every domain needs treatment.
A psychiatric care plan starts with your story.
We review your history, current symptoms, previous responses and priorities. You and the clinical team discuss the options, tradeoffs and how progress will be assessed.
01
Tell us what you want your life to look like
We start with what has changed, what you have tried, and the activities you most want to return to.
02
Answer the questions the history leaves open
We review prior reports and select relevant assessments. You should understand what each assessment is meant to clarify.
03
Agree on the priorities and the first steps
We discuss the findings, possible approaches, costs and practical constraints. The plan sets an order that fits your situation.
04
Check what changes and adjust together
We compare your response with the starting point, including daily function. If something is not helping, we discuss what needs to change.
Only then do we discuss which therapies, if any, belong in your plan. The choice depends on the findings, the evidence, your preferences and how you respond.

When your mind keeps returning to the same stuck place, there's a way to open a window for real change. Ketamine works differently to most psychiatric medications. It can open a window where the brain's stuck patterns can become flexible again. Used well, that therapeutic window can be where the real therapeutic work happens. We don't just hand you a ketamine session and send you home. We most often pair ketamine with real psychiatric care. You're comfortable and monitored the whole time. Most sessions run about an hour, and we're right there with you before, during and after. If you're wanting to try something different and you think that this window might be right for you, we'd love to talk.
Explore Integrative Psychiatry Options
We use established medicine where it works, and emerging medicine where it makes sense.
These are options to discuss after evaluation, not a predetermined treatment plan. Evidence is shown on each therapy’s own page, matched to the condition it is being used for, because the same therapy can have different evidence for different conditions. An evidence label does not mean FDA approval.
- Psychiatric assessment
A full psychiatric evaluation, using validated tools such as the PHQ-9, GAD-7 and PCL-5 to set a baseline for depression, anxiety and PTSD symptoms and to track response.
CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, CBT-I and trauma-focused work, sequenced with the neurologic and autonomic plan.
Psychiatric medication management within the rehabilitation program, where indicated.
Its own program within integrative psychiatry, including ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), considered for selected treatment-resistant depression, PTSD and other conditions after a psychiatric evaluation.
An interventional option for PTSD, anxiety and sleep when the stress response stays switched on, overseen by psychiatry-trained clinicians as one step in the plan.
Our Commitment to Transparency
Where the evidence stands
Psychiatry embedded within a rehabilitation program — rather than delivered as a parallel but disconnected service — is a clinical practice model with a sound rationale but not yet a standardized evidence base. Each tool carries its own evidence rating on its own page, for the specific condition it is used for.
How we grade evidence
Our Evidence Levels
Each level describes the evidence for a particular treatment and use. It does not guarantee a specific outcome or indicate FDA approval.
| Level | Label | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Strong | Multiple high-quality studies consistently support meaningful benefit for this use. |
| Level 2 | Moderate | Good clinical evidence supports benefit, but important uncertainty remains. |
| Level 3 | Emerging | Early clinical evidence suggests potential benefit, but is not yet strong or consistent. |
| Level 4 | Preliminary | Evidence is limited to small studies, observational data or indirect clinical evidence. |
| Level 5 | Investigational | There is a rationale or very early evidence, but clinical benefit has not been established. |

Frequently asked questions
What does integrative psychiatry mean at Neuregen?
It means considering psychiatric symptoms alongside sleep, cognition, physical health and daily function. Evaluation may lead to medication management, psychotherapy, rehabilitation or coordination with your existing care team.
Does integrative psychiatry always involve ketamine?
No. Ketamine is one option considered for selected circumstances. Your diagnosis, prior treatment, medical history, risks and preferences guide the discussion; it is not required to receive psychiatric care.
Can psychotherapy and medication be part of the same plan?
Yes. Psychotherapy can be used on its own or alongside medication. The combination depends on your needs and preferences, with follow-up to review benefits, difficulties and any side effects.
Can I continue seeing my existing mental-health clinician?
Yes. Bring details of your current care and medicines to the evaluation. With your permission, the team can coordinate responsibilities and recommendations with your existing clinicians.
Who provides psychiatric care at Neuregen?
Psychiatric care is provided within each clinician’s professional scope. We confirm who will provide your care and explain their role. Our founder’s qualifications and training are listed on the dedicated About page.
What psychiatric conditions does Neuregen treat?
Neuregen addresses psychiatric presentations that intersect with complex nervous-system recovery: treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and the neuropsychiatric consequences of brain injury, post-viral illness, or alcohol use disorder. Conditions that fall outside this intersection — uncomplicated mood disorders in otherwise healthy patients, for example — are better served by a primary psychiatry practice.
How is medication management handled at Neuregen?
Medication management is one component of the psychiatric program, managed by our clinical team when it serves the rehabilitation plan. Medications are chosen based on their relevance to the patient's neurobiology and recovery goals.
Does Neuregen do talk therapy?
Psychotherapy is available as part of the program — particularly in the context of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), where structured psychotherapy is integrated with the dosing session. It is not offered as a standalone outpatient therapy service disconnected from the rehabilitation context.
Can I use my insurance for psychiatric care at Neuregen?
Neuregen is an out-of-network specialty clinic. Most psychiatric services at Neuregen — including ketamine therapy — are not covered by insurance. Spravato (esketamine) may have coverage under its approved indications; we will tell you which applies to your case before any plan is finalized.
Start with a Strategy Consultation
When distress or poor sleep keeps affecting relationships and everyday responsibilities, putting off a conversation leaves those concerns unresolved. You can ask about next steps without committing to medication or a procedure.
