Start with what life feels like now

What do families ask before starting memory care?

We help people with memory changes that affect life at home by evaluating their needs with their family so that they can plan support around the activities and relationships that matter.

How we look at the whole picture
Illustrative portrait of an older woman and a younger family member sitting together outside.

Conversations repeat. Familiar routines take more effort. You may be noticing changes in yourself or someone you love.

You want to understand what is happening and what you can do next as a family.

You do not need to know which treatment to ask for. Start with what has changed and what you want to be able to do again.

The 7 Domains of Recovery™

Your symptoms may belong in the same conversation.

Memory changes need a careful evaluation. The seven-domain approach also considers function, sleep, energy, emotional health, physical needs and the support available at home.

Neuregen's proprietary 7 Domains of Recovery framework organizes that conversation around seven connected parts of your life and health. We consider all seven, then focus the evaluation on the questions your history raises.

Explore our clinical framework
  1. 1Brain function & neural networks

What has changed in your memory, concentration, balance or sensory tolerance?

  2. 2Autonomic & nervous system regulation

What happens when you stand, move, rest or encounter stress?

  3. 3Immune function & neuroinflammation

What immune history, reactions or symptoms need a closer look?

  4. 4Brain energy & metabolic health

What affects your energy through the day and after activity?

  5. 5Structure, stability & body-to-brain signals

How do pain, posture, movement and stability affect what you can do?

  6. 6Psychological flexibility & behavioral recovery

How are mood, stress and patterns of coping affecting your day?

  7. 7Life, relationships & environment

What demands, relationships and support shape your recovery?

A plan starts with the things you want to do again.

We review the timeline, daily function, previous assessments and family concerns. We discuss what further evaluation could clarify and agree on priorities for support and follow-up.

  1. 01

Tell us what you want your life to look like

We start with what has changed, what you have tried, and the activities you most want to return to.

  2. 02

Answer the questions the history leaves open

We review prior reports and select relevant assessments. You should understand what each assessment is meant to clarify.

  3. 03

Agree on the priorities and the first steps

We discuss the findings, possible approaches, costs and practical constraints. The plan sets an order that fits your situation.

  4. 04

Check what changes and adjust together

We compare your response with the starting point, including daily function. If something is not helping, we discuss what needs to change.

Only then do we discuss which therapies, if any, belong in your plan. The choice depends on the findings, the evidence, your preferences and how you respond.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Neuregen Alzheimer's & Memory Program?

It is a clinician-directed, multi-domain program that combines comprehensive diagnostics, cognitive rehabilitation, metabolic and brain-energy support, and emerging therapies -- including AMBAR-informed therapeutic plasma exchange -- within a coordinated plan designed by our clinical team for each patient.

What is AMBAR?

AMBAR is a multi-center clinical trial of plasma exchange with albumin replacement in mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. Neuregen's use of therapeutic plasma exchange in Alzheimer's care is informed by the rationale and protocol developed in that research.

Is AMBAR-informed TPE an established treatment for Alzheimer's?

No. Plasma exchange with albumin replacement has moderate evidence for slowing decline in mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease. AMBAR found less decline in daily function; its overall cognitive result favored treatment but did not meet the conventional statistical-significance threshold. This remains a developing approach, not an established standard of care.

Can TPE cure or reverse Alzheimer's disease?

No, and Neuregen does not claim otherwise. Promising does not mean proven. TPE is one component of a broader program; no single therapy offers a cure for Alzheimer's disease.

How is Neuregen different from a conventional neurology practice?

Neuregen operates at the intersection of functional neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitative medicine, and precision medicine -- identifying what may be limiting recovery or function across multiple biological domains. A conventional neurology practice focuses on diagnosis and pharmaceutical management; Neuregen focuses on rehabilitation and integrative support alongside that care.

Does Neuregen replace my neurologist or primary care doctor?

No. Neuregen works alongside your existing medical team. We communicate with referring physicians and coordinate with them rather than substituting for them.

What does the evaluation involve?

The evaluation includes cognitive baseline profiling, multi-domain biological assessment (brain energy, metabolic, and neurologic markers), and review of prior records. Standard neurologic workup is referred where appropriate.

Is this program appropriate for someone who has not been diagnosed?

The evaluation and monitoring pathway at Neuregen is appropriate for individuals who are worried about memory or family history. That pathway is focused on testing and baseline assessment -- not treatment claims for undiagnosed people.

What role does caregiver support play in the program?

Caring for someone with Alzheimer's involves relationships, daily routines, and environmental factors that directly affect both the patient and the caregiver. Neuregen's approach, grounded in Domain 7 (Life, Relationships & Environment), includes coordinating family and caregiver support as a component of the overall plan.

What are FDA-approved anti-amyloid antibodies, and does Neuregen offer them?

Lecanemab and donanemab are FDA-approved anti-amyloid antibodies that your neurologist may discuss as established options for early Alzheimer's disease. These are not therapies Neuregen offers; Neuregen's program is complementary to, not a substitute for, standard pharmaceutical management where it is appropriate.

Is the program covered by insurance?

Neuregen is an out-of-network specialty clinic. Patients are responsible for fees at the time of service. Payment specifics can be discussed during the Strategy Consultation.

What is the first step?

Schedule a Strategy Consultation with our clinical team. That conversation determines whether Neuregen is a clinical fit. If it is, we conduct a full medical review and build a personalized plan from there.
